GUEST SPEAKER Q&A

Bobby Madley answered questions posed and gave some good key advice:

Think Big Picture!
> Don’t let a text message or social media post come back to bite you!
> Sanity check everything you look to send out.
> Walk out onto the pitch and leave your ego in the changing room!
> You are not the big star at the event – be empathic, sensible and respectful
> Go and do a good job
> Get a good reputation

Respect the clubs and those people running about trying to look after you and everything
 ▪ Don’t expect VIP treatment. If you are offered a cuppa, then great, don’t go expecting one.
▪ Respect the changing rooms – try to leave them as clean and tidy as you can – this could save you losing club marks or of course gain you some!

Go out at watch local matches at the next level to you
> Watch referees and assistants operating in a game at the next level to where you officiate. Look for things you can take away and introduce / improve / enhance your refereeing skills!
