We continue our new feature looking at the members of the Scunthorpe Referee’s Association and their career as a match official.
David Jones, who began refereeing by chance a decade ago hasn’t looked back on his career and is currently at Level 3, where he’s been for four seasons.
Knocking on the door of his next promotion over the course of the last few seasons, he spoke of his main goal that he’s focused on as we build towards 2020-21: “My refereeing goal is always to get to the next level.
“Becoming a Level 2B referee operating on the National League North or South and 4th official on the EFL would be a career highlight.”
See below his full interview, which has been published on the public Scunthorpe Referee’s Association Facebook page.
